Chickn is a band from Athens, Greece formed in 2012 by Shelly (vocals), Nico (drums) and Kay (guitars) for a specific reason that they cannot recall. After making their first rehearsals and rough recordings that could be described as minimal/ kraut/ improv, Shelly left the band and made chickn a duo. In the middle of 2013 Jones (bass) joined the band and Kay took the vocals, giving the band a rock direction.

All members of chickn come from different bands and backgrounds, providing different perceptions on the same vision. Their current recordings are based on motorik/autistic beats, heavy grooves and ghostly ambience. Their live performances rely on an improvisational approach, feedback and manic vocals.
